High-performance fabrics and textiles are used where technical strength and durability performances of the textile products are critical.

The high-performance textiles and yarns are manufactured using the high technology fibres including para-aramid, meta-aramid, fire resistant rayon, glass fibre, pre-oxidised acrylic, and the brands Kevlar, Twaron, Panox, Nomex, Conex, Basofil, Kynol, Dyneema and Spectra.

Application of Nanotechnology for High Performance Textiles – this paper summarises the recent development in the use of nanotechnology in textile areas including textile formation and finishing. Key words: Nanotechnology, nanosize fillers, nano-size structures, nanoparticles, cellular structures. Full paper here (PDF)

High-Performance Textile Bonding - Bonding to high-performance textiles is a very challenging technical problem. High-performance textiles, such as aramid and polyester, have little-to-no chemical bonding sites available. And yet, many commercial products use high-performance bonded-fiber composites.
