Noted for their high temperature resistance ( can withstand over 1000 °C), ceramic fiber textiles display excellent properties of lightweight, low thermal conductivity and chemical stability (they can resist attacks from most chemical corrosive agents). Ceramic fibers are today widely used in thermal insulation industry. Fabrics are made of ceramic fibres using ceramic woven yarns with fiberglass yarn or steel wire reinforcement.
This page at Nextiles presents inputs and web resources for this interesting textile fiber.
Synonyms for ceramic fibre: ceramic fiber, fibre ceramic, mineral wool, [synthetic mineral fibre]
Saveguard: We are manufacturers and suppliers of high temperature resistant textile materials and products used mainly in fire protection, thermal insulation and vehicle exhausts.???

GlobalSpec: About ceramic fiber Heater - Flat ceramic fiber heaters consist of an iron-chrome-aluminum (ICA) heating element and a thick layer of ceramic fiber insulation within a non-curved housing. Flat ceramic fiber heaters offer faster heat up, greater temperature uniformity, faster recovery rates, and faster cool down time then most other heater types. Learn more from the Global Spec site
CaraTex: See ceramic fiber textiles, gfiber and blanket information from CaraTex
Watlow Ceramic Fiber Heater: The ceramic fiber heater product line offers some of the highest temperature heating element capabilities in the Watlow family of heaters. Ceramic fiber heaters are made by integrating an iron-chrome-aluminum (ICA) heating element and ceramic fiber insulation for a new concept in heated insulation. Heating units constructed of ceramic fiber insulation isolate the heating chamber from the outside. Ceramic fiber heaters are extremely low mass, high insulation value units with self-supported heating elements. Know more about ceramic fiber insulation heaters from Watlow. (PDF file)
