Wedding Bands for Men
Friday, July 17, 2009
Your diamond wedding band can also be made of the following:
Titanium One of the foremost reasons why men would be apprehensive of wearing a wedding band is because they fear they may damage the jewelry. Men could be used to manual work, which may only cause the bands to acquire scratches.
The good thing about titanium wedding bands is that they are made of a very strong metal. Steel wedding bands are even weaker than those made of titanium. Thus, you will never be afraid to wear your wedding band wherever you go. Titanium is also hypoallergenic. If you are not too comfortable wearing gold or silver then titanium is the best choice for your band.
Tungsten This metal is usually used for industrial reasons. A long time ago, you may find tungsten commonly used in light bulbs, cathode ray tubes, and even in rocket engine nozzles. That is how strong tungsten is. A wedding band that is made of tungsten will not only last for many years; it will never lose its shine as well. Simply put, you do not have to put too much effort in taking care of your tungsten wedding band. Like titanium, tungsten also does not cause allergies.
Tungsten Carbide There is one problem with tungsten. Even if it is very durable, it can still be prone to scratches. Thus, to make sure that it does not, tungsten is often combined with carbon. Hence, you have tungsten carbide. This type of alloy is commonly used in creating cutting tools and ammunition for tanks. It is also highly valued for its durability. It is known to be twice as strong as steel.
Palladium If you want a perfect alternative to platinum, then palladium it is. It is naturally shiny. This means that you do not have to combine it with any other metal just to allow palladium to shine for a very long time. It also does not contain any nickel, which can potentially cause allergic reactions to humans. Like the rest of the metals discussed, this is hypoallergenic. Most of all, it is also less expensive than platinum.
With so many options for your wedding bands, men can surely go for what they want and wear their wedding bands with pride.

Diamonds Trends for Men
Sunday, April 5, 2009
Watches are designed today with a ton of sparkle and diamond accent. Men are taking care of their own needs to shine above the rest by splurging on a piece of luxury with a practical use. Understated designs boast unique, flat metals, with perhaps a centerpiece diamond, or smaller accents. These tend to be more suitable for everyday and office wear. However, plenty of men work with higher class clients and need something a little more over the top. Several designers are catering to the desire for more “bling” with entire faces covered or bordered with diamonds, and even elegant pavé accents on bands and numbers.
Cufflinks are becoming more popular today as an easy way for men to bejewel themselves as well. Combining diamonds with other gemstones and alternative metals gives an updated look to any wardrobe. Sophisticated gentlemen are searching for cufflinks that integrate classic diamonds and diamond accents with modern metal choices such as platinum, tungsten, gold and chocolate gold alloys, and titanium.
The growing trend of some women proposing to their men has carved the way for new styles of men’s engagement rings. These rings are designed with a more masculine look than their feminine counterparts, with textured bands and understated diamonds. They are not like the typical engagement ring with high settings, but boast more subtle design. Men do not want to be overpowered by the ring, and today’s jewelers are designing more versatile and practical alternatives. Many of these rings are also sold as part of a matching wedding set with complementary wedding bands, much like the traditional wedding sets for women. Some men choose to wear the engagement ring on their right hand after the wedding, solder it to the wedding band for everyday wear, or wear them each alone for a change in jewelry wardrobe.

Celebrate mens jewelry with this Men’s Stainless Steel Diamond Pendant. This modern design reminds us of an arrow head or celtic type designs while being very fashionable.
Sometimes it is hard to find a mens pendant that just looks great on a guy. This one has class while not looking dainty. It can be worn with any attire. You can wear it with a silk or leather cord as shown. Alternately, you could also dress it up slightly with a titanium or white gold chain.

Cool Mens Rings

Let's talk jewelry. Let's talk men's silver jewelry. When it comes to jewelry, men love it just as much as women. There's little difference these days. Men's jewelry is more "masculine" - massive and sturdy rather than dainty. Part of this of course is the fact that the typical male has larger fingers and larger wrists then women, and the jewelry needs to reflect that. Most jewelry - well, most high-end jewelry, is made from sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper. This is necessary because pure silver is extremely malleable - easy to deform. Do you know how to find the right kind of silver jewelry for your man? Well, most designers these days have websites, where they show photos of their wares, and even offer videos of them creating their jewelry. It's really fascinating to watch the creative process in action. Silver jewelry for men comes in bracelets, including ID bracelets, cufflinks, necklaces and pendants, and rings. Matching items of jewelry are always best, to give that complete book. Mixing both silver and gold jewelry is generally frowned upon in stylistic circles, but lots of people wear whatever they like, regardless of whether the colors or designs "clash." Types of Men’s Gold Chains
Monday, March 16, 2009
Quality of Gold
One needs to first look at the gold markings to be certain that a golden colored chain is truly gold metal. When looking at real gold chains, know the cost is dependent on: the karat of gold, size of the chain, and style it possess. A high quality gold chain should be marked with 18KT or 14KT (for a less golden color some people buy 10KT).
Gold chains can last forever and are not susceptible to tarnishing. Quality lasts. 14 Kt gold chains never go out of fashion thus you can wear them for as long as you desire.
Gold Wheat: This kind is created of intricately entwined links. Someone who wears this kind is a little bit mystifying and definitely exudes intelligence.
Gold Figaro: This is a classic piece that is characterized by a repeating prototype of three short links followed by a long link. This style speaks of fine class and romance.
Gold Rope: This wonderfully made gold chain is typically modest in nature and whispers simplicity and pureness.
Solid Link: This type of chain consists of heavy links made of solid gold that radiate an impression of authority and comfort.
Ethnic Type: Celtic Chains, Byzantine Chains, African, Germanic, Mexican, Asian, and others are all part of the ethnic type category. They comprise of handcrafted chains which provide a sense of distinctiveness and individuality. Many men prefer having this kind of chain as it helps them express their individuality.
Though the type of gold chain one chooses may be simply decided by how much they enjoy the look of it, knowing the subtle meanings can be useful. Know that one can leave an impression by choosing the right type of gold chains that goes with their personality.
